What would Fitzgerald think?

“He was a modernist,” Mr. Luhrmann said. “He was very influenced by the cinema.”

Cue groans/shrieks of delight…

As much as I think the movie cannot possibly translate Fitzgerald’s illuminating figurative language and writing style, I guess I’ll have to see it before I make a judgement.
